My name is Kara Yowell; I am a 25 year old Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Insurance Agent and an Artist. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Even at a young age art has always been an important part in my life. One of my favorite memories as a child is when my Dad and I would sit down at the table and start a drawing, passing the page back and forth, each of us adding a little bit to our drawing. We didn’t come up with masterpieces by any means, but, for me that is not what art is about. Art is about creating a feeling in the viewer. If just one of my pieces stirs just the tiniest bit of feeling or thought in a viewer, my goal has been achieved.
When I create I am taken to another place, somewhere beyond the stress of a days work or the frustrations of life. All of the negative feelings slip away once my mind starts to create. They are then transformed into something beautiful; a piece of art.
